Elemental Astro reaches six-figure monthly impressions across Google and AI search
An Eastern astrology platform that was hard to find in English search and absent from AI answers. Ignite built its SEO and GEO foundation until it became something both Google and AI engines could surface.

At a glance
Elemental Astro had a real product and almost no way to be found. The platform turns a person's birth date, time, and place into a personalized reading rooted in Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, the same framework that underpins much of classical Chinese thought. The interpretation was strong. The discovery layer was not. When an English-speaking seeker searched for an Eastern reading, or asked an AI assistant where to get one, Elemental Astro rarely came up. We were brought in to fix exactly that, and our brief was narrow and clear: build the SEO and GEO foundation so the platform could be surfaced by both Google and the AI engines people now ask first.
Background
Elemental Astro is a digital platform for Eastern, Chinese-tradition astrology. It takes a user's birth data and translates it into an energy profile built on the Five Elements, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, and on Yin-Yang theory. From that profile it generates a set of readings: an elemental energy breakdown, monthly forecasts across love, career, and wellness, a long-horizon life journey, a question-and-answer reading the platform calls Cosmic Mirror, and compatibility insights. Its public positioning is consistent and modern: in its own words, it offers "Eastern wisdom, decoded for your modern life." The product is delivered as a web experience and as iOS and Android apps, with an active presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
That matters for context, because it tells you what kind of company this is. Elemental Astro is not a content farm chasing horoscope clicks. It is a structured interpretation engine built on a coherent, centuries-old system, packaged for a Western audience that is increasingly curious about non-Western frameworks for self-understanding. The category it sits in, personal astrology and wellness, is crowded, fast-moving, and dominated on the Western side by Western-zodiac products. An Eastern, Five Elements platform is genuinely differentiated inside that crowd. The challenge was never the substance of the product. It was whether a curious newcomer would ever encounter it at the moment they went looking.
The challenge
When we ran our first visibility pass, the picture was the same one we see with most strong products that have never had a search and AI foundation built underneath them. Elemental Astro was, in practical terms, hard to discover in two of the places that now decide whether a consumer brand gets considered at all.
On classic search, the platform competed in English against a category that is both broad and well-optimized. The vocabulary itself was working against it. People searching this space type a wide and inconsistent mix of terms, BaZi, Four Pillars, Chinese five element astrology, Eastern zodiac, birth chart by element, and many more, and the platform's pages were not structured to answer those queries clearly or to be understood as the obvious home for any of them. The substance was on the site. The structure that would let a search engine map it to a real query was thin.
On AI search, the gap was sharper. When a curious person asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Google's AI answers something like "how do I find out my Chinese five elements" or "where can I get an Eastern astrology reading," the assistant composes a short answer and names a small handful of options. Elemental Astro was not in that set. As we lay out in our explainer on GEO versus SEO, an AI answer has no second page: if the model does not cite you, you are simply absent from the moment a person is deciding where to go. A differentiated product that the engines could not see was, at that decisive moment, invisible.
Three things compounded the problem. The on-page content was written to describe the product rather than to answer the questions newcomers actually ask. The site lacked the clean structure and entity signals that let a search engine, or a model, understand what Elemental Astro is and trust it as a source. And the broader web carried little that corroborated the brand, so even where the product was strong, there was nothing for an AI engine to cross-check before naming it.
Our approach
We ran SEO and GEO as a single program rather than two separate tracks, because the work converges far more than it diverges. The pages that earn a citation inside an AI answer are usually the same pages that deserve to rank on Google: clear, well-structured, genuinely useful, and trustworthy. Our job was to make Elemental Astro that kind of source, methodically, in the specific language of Eastern astrology that its audience uses.
Map the real questions, then build for them
We started by mapping how people actually search this space, in their own words, across both classic search and AI assistants. That gave us the real vocabulary of the category, the mix of technical terms like BaZi and Four Pillars alongside the plain-language questions a curious beginner types. We then shaped the platform's content around those questions so that each one had a clear, self-contained answer a search engine could rank and a model could lift. The principle is the one we describe in how to get cited by AI: lead with the answer, keep it specific, and make every passage worth quoting on its own.
Fix the foundation so engines can read it
In parallel we addressed the technical and structural floor that both disciplines stand on. That meant clean, crawlable architecture, structured data so engines could parse what Elemental Astro is and what it offers, and a consistent entity, the same name, the same description of the product, the same core facts everywhere a search engine or a model would check. A retrieval-grounded engine cannot cite a page it cannot fetch and parse, so this work is not optional, it is the price of admission to everything else.
Write for extraction in the language of the category
For an Eastern astrology product, the on-page work has a particular demand: it has to explain an unfamiliar system clearly without diluting it. We helped shape pages that defined the Five Elements, explained what a personalized energy profile actually is, and answered the practical questions a newcomer has, in passages a model can extract intact. Clear claims, plain explanations, and a structure that mirrors how the questions are asked. This is the difference between content written to be browsed and content written to be surfaced.
Build the corroboration AI engines look for
Finally, because generative engines cross-check a brand against the wider web before they trust it, we worked to make Elemental Astro something the engines could verify, not just something that declared itself. Strengthening the consistency and presence of the brand across the surfaces a model reads is the durable, compounding side of GEO, and it is the part competitors cannot copy over a weekend. We make the full argument for why this matters in digital PR is the GEO moat.
Results
As the foundation took hold and the engines began to understand and surface the platform, its visibility grew into real scale. The client's own assessment is the clearest statement of where it landed.
Ricky Lee, CMO of Elemental Astro, attests that the platform now reaches six-figure monthly impressions across Google and AI search. That is the result we are reporting, exactly as the client states it, and it is the one figure we stand behind here. We are deliberately not dressing it up with secondary numbers, ratios, or projections. A product that a curious seeker could barely find is now being surfaced, at six-figure monthly scale, in both the search engine they have always used and the AI answers they increasingly ask first.
Six-figure monthly impressions across Google and AI search is the figure the client attests to. It is the whole result, and we are not embellishing it.
What sits underneath that number is the same thing the playbook predicts. The platform became legible to engines that could not see it before. Its differentiated, Eastern-rooted product finally meets the audience at the moment they go looking, whether that is a classic Google search or a question put to an AI assistant. And because the foundation is built on durable signals rather than one-off tactics, the kind of visibility it now has is the kind that tends to compound rather than evaporate.
What this case shows
- A strong, differentiated product can still be effectively invisible if the SEO and GEO foundation underneath it was never built.
- Running SEO and GEO as one program, mapped to the real vocabulary of the category, is what lets both Google and AI engines surface the same pages.
- The attested outcome: six-figure monthly impressions across Google and AI search, as stated by CMO Ricky Lee.
A note on what we claim
We hold to one rule on every case study: we report only what a client will stand behind. The single result on this page, six-figure monthly impressions across Google and AI search, is attested by Elemental Astro's CMO, and we have not added invented metrics, percentages, or financial figures around it. Visibility and impressions are inputs to growth, not guarantees of any specific business outcome, and results depend on the product, the market, and the timing. If you want to know what a similar program could realistically do for you, the honest first step is to see where you stand today.
